There used to be a time when letting your kid play the computer was frowned upon. Nowadays, this no longer holds true because there are many educational websites that actually offer learning for kids, disguised as kids online games.

One website I particularly like and prefer is the Disney Playhouse website, offering kids online games that are spin-offs of their television shows. All the kids online games will have a “theme” or lesson in their page. For example, the Little Einsteins game focuses on instruments and music, while the Handy Manny webpage targets hand-eye coordination and counting.

Apart from this website, there are many others offering kids online games, and I will recommend that you try the kids online games for yourself first before letting your kid play that game. You should also be prepared to answer any question your kid might have regarding the kids online games you have allowed him to play.

Do not forget as well to set a limit to how long he can play the kids online games, so that he will not be uncontrollable in the future. Also, you should dictate the best time for him to play the kids online games and prior to sleep will be a good time as any.
